How would you recognise if you have thyroid Problem???



Now a days Hypothyroidism is commonly seen. People with thyroid problem are generally over weight. Thyroid is the hormone secreted by Thyroid gland. This gland is situated just below neck in front side. The main function of this hormone is to regulate metabolism.

Hypothyroidism: This condition is characterized by low levels of thyroid hormone in the body. This can be identifies with following symptoms: 
  • Constipation
  • less apetite
  • Poor growth
  • Excessive sleeping
  • Jaundice
  • Poor intolerance to cold temperature. 
  • Weight gain
  • Dry Skin
  • Hair fall
  • puffyness around eyes
  • irregular menstrual periods.
Hypothyroidism symptoms in Children:
  • Same as few of above
  • Excessive fatigue
  • Poor Growth
  •  Delayed tooth Development
  • Delayed sexual maturation
  • Poor school performance
Hyperthyroidism: This condition is characterised by increased thyroid levels in blood. This is caused due to overactive thyroid gland.
  • lack of sleep
  • tremors
  • feeling excessively hot in normal temperature.
  • joint pain
  • excessive sweating
  • muscle weakness
  • osteoporosis
  • complecations in heart diseas.
